Aquaculture
In 2007, 45% of fish and shellfish consumed by humans (48 million tons) was raised on aquaculture farms. The share reached 50% in 2009 (FAO-PNAS).
Aquaculture nutrition and feeds have evolved in the same direction at an accelerated pace. Given the complexity and diversity of feed ingredients used in aquaculture feeds, additives are becoming an important tool for maximizing efficiency by improving feed quality.
